Product Marketing Director

The Role

Founded by cryptography pioneer Silvio Micali, Algorand fulfills the promise of blockchain through a first-of-its-kind transaction platform that solves the “blockchain trilemma” by offering true decentralization, scalability and security for both developers and business applications.

We are looking for a Product Marketing Director in our Boston Office to help define marketing strategy, conduct market analysis, build thought leadership content and develop strategic positioning for Algorand.

This is an opportunity for a team player who is genuinely excited by new technologies (Interest in open source technologies, blockchain, and/or cryptocurrency would be a plus!), understands the importance of a rigorous and strategic approach to marketing, and is capable of committing to on-the-ground execution when it comes to market research, strategic positioning, and launching new products.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own market and competitive intelligence, including research and analysis, and education across the organization
  • Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with the market
  • Develop marketing plans, including key activities and budgets to support the growth of our public network
  • Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements and written works
  • Understand and support our internal teams that interface with our Community; train them on the problems we solve for our users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it
  • Communicate our brand’s story in a compelling manner
  • Work closely with in-house and third-party resources to take projects from concept and development to final delivery; providing messaging and copywriting oversight as necessary
  • Work to maintain and evolve voice and tone guidelines and help evangelize resources across the company
  • Be a key part of an inclusive environment that fosters collaboration and creativity both internally and externally

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree a bonus
  • 5-plus years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in a market-facing role (e.g., conducting competitor analysis and market research, launching a new product)
  • Familiar with marketing automation tools such as Marketo, Pardot and Omniture, and Google Analytics.
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Work Suite
  • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal; Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, diverse, and/or senior groups
  • Demonstrable experience in communicating information, whether technical or non-technical, to internal and external audiences, in a clear and concise manner
  • Creative, approachable, energetic, “can-do” attitude with ability to change direction in a dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize workload and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
